It is important to wrap up your program to ensure that you and your participants have the information they need prior to the program’s end date. In addition, it can be a great opportunity to encourage mentors and mentees to participate again in the next program, if they are eligible.

Generally, Mentor Collective recommends completing the following steps, at the suggested sequence and timing listed, when closing down a program.
Institution End of Program Messaging Templates
Mentor Collective provides template copy for institution end of program messaging, depending on your program population and relaunch timeline. You are welcome and encouraged to make a copy of any of these templates, and adapt key pieces to help them fit your population and institution.

❓What happens for participants after the program end date has passed?
- Participants can no longer register or be matched in the program.
- No program communication will be sent to participants.
- Participants will no longer have access to any items on their Mentorship Checklist.
- Participants will no longer be able to use the SMS relay with their counterpart.
- Participants will still have access to their Participant Dashboard, including:
- Access to their mentorship counterpart contact information
- Ability to log conversations with their counterpart
- [Mentors] Ability to log flags for their counterpart
