Video & Text Stories

At the top of the page, you will first see video stories appear in a grid. Below, you will see the text stores in a similar grid. For each testimonial, you will be able to review the participant’s name and their role in the program (mentor or mentee). In addition, you can select “Share” and either copy a shareable link to the video, or email the video or text story.

Note: Only written stories longer than 20 characters are shown.

Gathering Participant Stories

Participants are encouraged to share their mentorship stories at various points in the program. Participants will receive automated reminders asking them to tell us about their mentorship journey so far.

Participants can control who they want to have access to their submission. When they submit their story, they will be asked to agree to the terms of use and choose the visibility level of their submission:

  • If a participant selects the first option - their testimonial will appear under the Private tab.
  • If a participant selects the second option - their testimonial will appear under the Public tab.
    • These testimonials can be shared with other administrators or students at your institution and on public marketing channels, such as social media, websites, etc.

How Can I Use Participant Stories?

Participant stories are a great testimonial tool that can be used in a number of ways:

  • Boost recruitment. Sharing past participants’ positive experiences is a fantastic way to help boost recruitment for future programs and let prospective participants get an idea of what to expect.
  • Increase engagement. Sharing videos and text stories among participants can be a great boost to engagement - they’ll get to hear from each other and it can encourage others to submit their own stories, too.
  • Measure program outcomes. Along with quantitative data and impact analyses, including participants’ experiences in their own words is a great way to enrich a report on your program’s outcomes.

FAQ

❓Can other participants see these stories?
