Mentor Collective’s mentor training is an on-demand learning experience that allows participants to take their training at a time that works well for them. It was created in accordance with research-based instructional design principles, developed by educators.

Mentor training provides a base understanding of a mentorship program's expectations as well as how to use the Participant Dashboard. Training helps equip participants with the skills needed to be a successful mentor before they engage in mentorship.

Once in the training, participants are guided through an interactive, engaging series of text- and video-based lessons. They can also review training materials as often as they like throughout the program, if they need a refresher. There are embedded checks for understanding at the end of each chapter in the course.

A final assessment at the end of the course ensures mentors have thoroughly engaged with the learning material. Once mentors pass the final assessment, they receive a completion certification that they can share directly to their social media, add to their LinkedIn profile, or download as a PDF.

Make IPD Part of Your Strategy

Are you leveraging the data your institution already collects? Institution-Provided Data, or IPD, enables you to personalize support, spot trends early, and report impact clearly.

Consider uploading information participants either don’t provide or don’t know, such as their advisor, admissions status, athletic involvement, or scholarship information. Think about what’s important to all stakeholders: How can additional data inputs help tell the story of your initiative's impact?

Our recent webinar shares several examples of IPD in action! In just 25-minutes, we cover unique ways your peers have used IPD to strengthen their student success strategy. Don't miss it! ⬇️
