Dashboard Page - Assessments Tab

The Assessments tab of the Dashboard homepage provides data from Mentor Collective’s assessment surveys sent to the mentees and/or mentors in your program. You’ll be able to find survey completion rates, as well as details on the average non-cognitive assessment area scores measured in your program, which may include:

  • Sense of Belonging
  • Academic Self-Efficacy
  • Career Decision Self-Efficacy
  • Academic Help-Seeking
  • Strength of Relationship

Note: The number of assessment surveys, which assessment areas are measured, and what participant types receive each assessment survey vary by program design – and this will adjust what you see on the Assessments tab. Learn more about assessment surveys here

Note: If you do not see an assessments tab in your Partner Dashboard, it is likely because no assessment surveys have been launched for your program yet.

Top-Line Numbers

There are two rows with top-line numbers, showing the current completion totals for each assessment survey and average score for each assessment area measured. The first row shows Mentee Data and the second row shows Mentor Data.

Each number also shows an indicator beneath it that gives the change since the previous week.

At a quick glance, this data allows you to get a sense of your assessment survey response rate and your participants’ average scores on important non-cognitive assessment areas.

Average Assessment Area Score Over Time Chart

The Average assessment area score over time line chart displays the average score (1-5 scale) in each assessment area measured in your program’s surveys over time.

This chart has the following controls:

  • Participant Type - choose which participant type of view: Mentee or Mentor
  • Assessment Area - choose which assessment area to review
  • Timeframe - select the desired timeframe: All Time, Last 180 Days, Last 90 Days

The Average assessment area score over time line chart allows you to identify key information about the student experience, which can aid in your institution’s efforts in fostering these non-cognitive factors that we know are crucial to student success.

Average Score per Assessment Survey Prompt Chart

The Average score per assessment survey prompt bar chart displays the average scores (1-5 scale) for each prompt in an assessment area measured. If relevant, the data is further broken down by each survey: start program, mid program, and end program.

This chart has the following controls:

  • Participant Type - choose which participant type of view: Mentee or Mentor
  • Assessment Area - choose which assessment area to review

Note: While the data may be broken down by surveys, it will only do so after each survey is launched - with up to three surveys/bars.

The Average score per assessment survey prompt bar chart provides the ability to dive in deeper to the data, beyond the total average score. You can gain insight into the prompts for each assessment area and pinpoint even more specific areas that need intervention.

Assessment Area Score Distribution Chart

The Assessment area score distribution pie chart displays the distribution of the number of participants with an average assessment area score (1-5 scale): below three, three, or above three.

This chart has the following controls:

  • Participant Type - choose which participant type of view: Mentee or Mentor
  • Assessment Area - choose which assessment area to review
  • View Specific Participants - click on a slice of the chart, and you will be rerouted to the Participants page, pre-filtered to participants that have an average score in your selected range

The Assessment area score distribution pie chart provides an alternative view to the overall average data, which doesn’t always show the full picture. In this chart, you can quickly identify exactly how many participants are scoring across the 1-5 scale, and can take action accordingly.

Assessment Survey Completion Chart

The Assessment survey completion chart displays the completion data for each of the program assessment surveys that have been launched. Each bar will show you the total number of participants who completed or have not completed the survey.

This chart has the following controls:

  • Participant Type - choose which participant type of view: Mentee or Mentor
  • View Specific Participants - click on a bar, and you will be rerouted to the Participants page, pre-filtered to participants that have (or have not) completed the assessment survey you selected

The Assessment survey completion chart can be particularly useful in tracking which assessment surveys have launched for your program and identifying opportunities to increase response rates.
